No Bailout, No Way

As many as 80% of Americans are against the Paulson bailout of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs (his former employer.)

The emails and calls to congresscritters’ offices is running at better than 90% against.

The heedless McCain is positioning himself as a ‘maverick’ again allegedly pushing to ‘get things done’,  even though by all accounts he’s just sitting in the meetings, saying nothing.

At least Obama had the sense to put a millimeter or two from Hank Paulson’s plea, on bended knee, to please save him and the rest of the oligarchs from the consequences of their own greed.

A contingent of Republicans in the House, however, is heeding Ron Paul’s sound advice, and is opposing the giveaway. Good for them.

I have no illusions – this monstrous theft is going to pass in some form.  But we should all remember who was with us, and who was against us.

I think this is the biggest rip off in the history of the USA
They say if we don’t bail them (who every that is) out then we will hit rock bottm. Hell, I been at rock bottom. And you know what, when your at rock bottom you have something to stand on. And when you have something to stand on then you can stand up and make something for yourself.
    FUCK A HAND OUT
    FUCK A BAIL OUT
How about a free market? Is a free market a new idea? I just don’t get it.
Mad as hell about government and it giving away my hard earned money.

    Constituent Rebellion Now!

Millions wrote and called to say No! and still the Senate said Yes? It is time for a housecleaning! Time to show them that they work for Main Street, not Wall Street.

Based on quick analysis, it looks like there are 2-4 Senators who voted Yes who are in tight races, and 3 or 4 more who are vulnerable.

In the House, the analysis is similar, 7 or 8 vulnerable races where a little bit of influence might make all the difference.

Targeting these so-called representatives of the people, with print and radio ads highlighting their betrayal, could really make an impact on their chances for re-election — and put the fear of constituency back into the Washington elite.

Are you interested in making it happen? There isn’t much time before the election, so it will take funds and effort. Can you participate by offering time, skills or funds?

    Let us know.
